The Stamford Yacht Club (SYC) in coordination with the Navy League will again host the US Naval Academy Offshore Sail Training Squadron on the upcoming Fathers Day weekend. Please pass this information on to all your organization members.

Arrival of five boats with 50 midshipmen and staff is set for Friday June 14th.  SYC will welcome the squadron with a casual BBQ at 5:30pm on Friday ($25).  There are boat visits throughout the weekend and community outreach on Saturday is scheduled for 1200 to 1400.  This will include a panel discussion focusing on college preparation and leadership.  Sea Cadets from the Navy League Council-sponsored Dealey Division will again support the event and it is open to our local NJROTC cadets and to children or grandchildren of veterans.

Veterans are more than welcome to come and meet the midshipmen at any of the events.  In addition to the welcoming BBQ on Friday, there will be another BBQ ($35) on Sunday, Father's Day Jun 16th, at 5:30pm.  Click here for further details, including a map and free parking location at SYC.
