Paul Richard Lee, age 93, died peacefully at his home in Stamford on January 11, 2022. Summers were spent at Roton Point Amusement Park where his parents Esther and Richard Lee operated a carnival stand. Paul attended King School in Stamford and earned a degree in chemistry from Waynesburg College.

Paul joined the US Army on July 24, 1951. After taking his training he was sent to Korea with the Third Division 65th Infantry Regiment where he took part in two major battles, "Hill 412" and "Outpost Harry". Corporal Lee earned two bronze stars and was discharged on July 2, 1954. He remained connected with the military through the VFW Springdale Post 9617 in Stamford. Paul was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Stamford for over 60 years. He was a church deacon in the 1960's and served continuously as an usher until recently. Paul looked forward to Christmas Eve services where he participated in the Children's Service pageant. He was always helping people in his neighborhood, through Americorps and the church. When he manned a Salvation Army Christmas kettle he would often sing Christmas carols to encourage donations.
As an analytical chemist Paul worked for several companies including AMF, American Cyanamid, Olin Corporation and at PepsiCo for more than twenty years before retiring.

There will be a private family ceremony at Long Ridge Union Cemetery and a memorial service will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, Paul wished that donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church Memorial Garden fund, 1101 Bedford Street, Stamford, CT 06905.
